    • Thank you, Jane.

This one has been posted once before but I’m glad to see that Kathy likes it enough to give it a repeat. This is the final poem in the collection, WILD COUNTRY. It was my editor’s favorite poem in the book.

    • Thank you, Carol-Ann, for the good wishes and nice words. This evening we’ll celebrate by watching a beautiful fireworks display with friends.

    • Thank you, Mary Nida. I told you that Sandy and I recently visited our son Jeff and daughter-in-law Jennifer in Portland and drove with them to the coast. That part of the country is truly beautiful, even on days when there aren’t many “blue clouds” (as Jeff calls a pretty day) in evidence.

    • Hi Silindile,

Thank you. I’m glad you like this poem. It was my editor’s favorite in the book so he asked me to make it the last one.

      David
