Poem of the Week from SOUNDS OF RAIN

Rhythms

The inspiration for this poem was the feeling I had while visiting that vast river/rain forest world. It was a rhythm as ancient as the river itself — steady and calm, powerful, compelling. Countless generations have lived and died there abiding by the metronome of life in the rain forest. I wanted to capture that patient sense of endless repititon. What rhythms do you write about?  This is the place to share.  David
