You haven’t seen the little rubberman reminder for a while so I thought that he would come in handy today as a reminder that this the last day to post your Word of the Month poem for January. Tomorrow I’ll announce the word for February, which was provided by Mary Nida Smith. Don’t miss that!

What: BREAKING IN, STAYING IN: PA CHILDREN’S AUTHORS & ILLUSTRATORS TALK ABOUT LAUNCHING & MAINTAINING THEIR CHAREERS

When: Saturday, February 18, 2012, 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Where: Lancaster Public Library, 125 North Duke St., Lancaster, PA

Who: Sandy Asher, Debbie Dadey, Lee Harper, Linda Oatman High, and Matt Novak

Why: To benefit new and experienced children’s authors. PLUS, all proceeds go to the Lancaster Public LIbrary, the Lancaster Literary Guild, and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators

How much: $55 for adults; $50 for members of the Lancaster Literary Guild or SCBWI; $10 for students in grades 4 through college.

To register, send a check to the Lancaster Literary Guild, 113 N. Lime Street, Lancaster, PA 17602. Space is limited!
