Remembering who we are and what we stand for

Hi everyone,

Watched this Civil War reenactment in Astoria, Oregon yesterday and was reminded once more of that sad and awful time in our history. I’m grateful to the folks who work hard to preserve glimpses of our past so that we will never forget the period when we struggled to determine who we were as a nation and what we would believe in from then on.

    • None that I know of unless they might have sent troops eastward. So I think it’s special that they bring back glimpses of that time to share with the young people of Oregon as well as adults.

    • Hi Cheryl,
We were unable to re-watch the first episode and really missed it. Thanks for the link. I’m home again so maybe I can start catching up.
