Hi everyone,
As if all the wonderful support I’ve received during the last several days weren’t enough to perk me up, yesterday’s mail brought a long-awaited treasure. My copy of LITERATURE AND THE CHILD, 9th Edition, Cengage Learning, arrived. It is, as you can see, a handsome book (521 pages, priced at $199) and masterfully edited by Lee Galda and Lauren Aimonette Liang. I’m proud to be in it.
My poem, which originally appeared in EASY POETRY LESSONS THAT DAZZLE AND DELIGHT (Harrison & Cullinan, Scholastic), is an example of link rhyming (in which the final word or syllable of one line rhymes with the first word or syllable of the next line), and is called “The Future Me.”
My special thanks to the editors and good wishes for the success for this edition.
That cover would be a gre8t poster. Fabulous new compendium to know. Appreciations. BRAVO! to you for “The Future Me,” being part of this wonderfulness.
Thank you, Jan. I’m pleased to have my poem among those featured.
What a book! And what a privilege to be part of it, congrats!
Hi Matt,
Thanks for your comment. Much appreciated.
Congratulations! How great to be part of this textbook that will inspire future teachers, writers, and librarians!
Hi Jan,
I’m honored to be included.
