Word of the Month word for August is . . .

Hi everyone,

July cannot be gone! I’m just getting used to writing 2017 and suddenly there only five months remaining in it. I might as well start practicing 2018.

I therefore proclaim the Word of the Month Poetry Challenge word to be GONE. I hope you have fun with it. I predict it will be a good one.

On your mark, get set, go!

  1. Rose poem
My little rose flower still wrapped tightly in a bud.
Waiting for a blessed shower to turn the dry dirt to a soft gooey mud.
Waiting for the flower to emerge from its cocoon. To bring joy to all, it will happen soon.
From its beginning, from the time the beauty turns on.
It’s life is so short its beauty wanes, before you know it our beauty is gone.

    • Good morning, Don, and thank you for getting us off to a good start in August! I’m glad to hear from you.
