A new production of SOMEBODY CATCH MY HOMEWORK

Hi everyone,

Sandy Asher has learned that SOMEBODY CATCH MY HOMEWORK, the play she wrote in 2002 based on my poems and published by Dramatic Publishing, shows a production of the play scheduled at the LDS church in Provo, Utah on August 3.

I don’t know how many times the play has been produced but quite a few, including at least once in Europe. Sandy might know. SOMEBODY CATCH MY HOMEWORK made its world premier in Springfield where I sat in the audience and glowed (or at least felt like it) when characters from my poems came to life on stage and, at appropriate times, recited various poems from my books. It’s like a musical but I’d call it a poetical.

  1. So glad you’re pleased, David. I certainly am! But i don’t know how many times “Somebody Catch My Homework” has been presented. I stopped counting long ago. Remember the time we went from library to library with that group of homeschooled kids who were on tour with it all over Adams County, PA? And that was just one production. There were quite a few before and there have been quite a few since. But I do think this is the first time your characters have visited Utah.

    • I suppose if it were important enough, Dramatic Publishing might have records, but I’m content to simply estimate it has been in the millions and let it go at that. (:>
