I rarely seek to be away from home for long on book related trips. Don’t like hotel food, hate to sleep alone, miss my M.O.W., etc. But at the moment I’m working on doing a few things in the Kansas City area in October.
Two were already on the books. On the 14th I’ll do a family night in Higginsville, Missouri at Grandview Elementary School and the next day I’ll participate in the children’s literature festival on the campus of Park University in Parkview, Missouri.
With help from my publicist at Holiday House (publisher of AND THE BULLFROGS SING) we’re looking into adding a signing in Lawrence, Kansas and some others in Kansas City and surrounding area. I’ve been working on a possibility of doing something in Topeka at the public library there so maybe a few of these will fall together.
This week we hope to fill some gaps on Saturday and Sunday (October 12 and 13) and on Monday the 14th before I head for Higginsville late in the afternoon. If you know anyone in the Kansas City area who might have an interest in contacting me, I will appreciate it.
Earlier that month I’ll be in New York seeing editors, Florida to attend a meeting, and Springfield to participate in a children’s literature festival. Busy month. Yeehaw!
