Sorry… i’m beginning to hate wordpress. I understand!
I hope you have a productive day!
I have a question – i heard that poetry month is the largest annual literary celebration in the world. Is that true? Do i need a citation to say that?
Hi Yvona,
In 1996, the Academy of American Poets established National Poetry Month and chose April as an ideal month to hold it. According to their literature, it has become “…the largest literary celebration in the world, with tens of millions of readers, students, K-12 teachers, librarians, booksellers, literary events curators, publishers, bloggers, and poets marking poetry’s important place in our culture and our lives.”
Gotta tell you this…
My principal read a student poem over the intercom this morning. (One of the poems I gathered for him.) Sadly, that student was a bit late and missed hearing her poem. BUT…I heard kids and teachers throughout the day telling her that they’d hear it and really liked it! You should’ve seen her smile!!!
Hi Su!
What a story. I really appreciate hear it and will share it with Sam Bommarito and Glenda Nugent. They’ll love it too.
Have a wonderful day.
Hugs,
I’m sorry, David – I know how you feel. It’s taken me over a month to become comfortable with the new WordPress idiosyncracies. (You should have an option to use the ‘classic’ editor, though, which might make things easier) Best wishes, my friend.
I know the option, Matt, and should probably try to find and use it more. I’m just determined to learn how to cope with this miserable new version. Bah! Humbug!
Ugh!!!
Arg, I am frustrated with it, too. Hoping you have a pleasant and productive day! ☺️
