The Ella Dickey Literacy Award

Hi everyone,

I’m happy to say that this afternoon at 4:30 CST, I will be among six honorees for the Ella Dickey Literacy Awards. This ceremony will take place at in Marshfield at the Assembly of God. The free event is part of the 16th annual Missouri Cherry Blossom Festival. It is open to the public and you are welcome to invite anyone. The Ella Dickey Literacy Award is presented annually in honor of Marshfield’s first librarian, Ella Dickey. The awards are presented to six national authors who have contributed to the preservation of history.

  1. Dad, congratulations on such a wonderful and deserved award! I am so proud of you and so sorry I won’t be there to see you receive it. I love and miss you.

    • Thank you, Jeff. Wish you could be here, too, especially to see me wear that white jacket you bought me when we got together in Arizona. I’ll send you a picture. I miss you and love you too. Dad
