Today I go back to my cardiologist to see if the wound where the heart monitor was removed to make way for a pacemaker seven weeks ago has finally healed. I need to move on and get back to full activities, although lately I’ve been mostly back anyway. Yesterday my M.O.W. made me help her work on the garage clutter, a torture she had been threatening for some time. We spent three hours toting barges and lifting bales and I can feel it this morning.
This morning it’s back to work on a short essay about why I think I’m drawn to literacy projects. After that I look forward to reading a book I just bought and taking notes from it as part of the preparation for what I hope will lead to a new nonfiction book for middle school kids.
