Hi everyone,
Yesterday at Sundog Books was pleasant. How could it be otherwise with all those spring breakers promenading up and down the walk in front of the store as well as in and out of it. Several of them stopped to ask about my books stacked on the table and one bought and had me sign a copy to him and his girlfriend. (Way to go, Diego!)

After the 2-hour signing, it was time to go home and relax with a book by JARED CARTER, one of the best poets I’ve ever read. It was recommended to me by TED KOOSER, former U.S. Poet Laureate and editor of the book.

In the end, though, not even Carter’s magnificent poems could ward off Step 3.

It was a good day.
