Laura Ingalls Wilder Children’s Literature Festival

Hi everyone,

Today and tomorrow I’ll be one of twenty authors speaking to area students at the L.I.W. Children’s Literature Festival in Mansfield, Missouri. It will be the first live festival since the beginning of the pandemic so I’m looking forward to it.

Big day for the ego

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I watched myself talking with Joy Robertson on KOLR10-TV from Tuesday’s Ozarks Live: https://www.ozarksfirst.com/ozarks-live/national-young-readers-day-a-conversation-with-david-harrison-11-10-20/

Kathy Temean gave me an attaboy for my Laura Ingalls Wilder Children’s Literature Medal at her site: https://kathytemean.wordpress.com/2020/11/11/book-winners-reminders-kudos/#comments

Greg Holman wrote an article about my 100th book (EMPOWERING STUDENTS’ KNOWLEDGE OF VOCABULARY) that previewed in the News-Leader’s e-edition at this link: https://www.news-leader.com/story/news/local/ozarks/2020/11/11/springfield-book-novel-author-david-harrison-on-sale-preorder/6235047002/?fbclid=IwAR3i4f-XX0D_YapLslkfnQpH8wVpjOMZU9wVlxbbDOY3MyG1nhJmZIaDT1Y

Later in the morning the folks at Laura Ingalls Wilder Children’s Literature Festival sent me the video taken when I accepted the award. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9MH-FDCCX4

I tried to take a selfie but couldn’t get all my smile to fit in.

I’m on today at the Laura Ingalls Wilder Children’s Literature Festival

Hi everyone,

Today I’m “presenting” at the Laura Ingalls Wilder Children’s Literature Festival. Virtually that is. Here’s the festival’s Facebook link. https://www.facebook.com/LIWCLF/ You can watch the video I made for the kids and adults who will be watching. Yesterday, the opening day of the four day event, 4,000 people liked the site. I hope that many will be back today.

I’m told that these sessions are being archived so that people can return to them in the future. That also goes for the award ceremony tomorrow night when I receive the L.I.W. medal. I’m delighted about that!

If you like what you see on the festival page, please leave them a note of encouragement. Everyone likes a pat on the back for a job well done.
