Randle Chowning coming to Poetry from Daily Life

Hi everyone,

I know that many of you have attended performances in the past of the musical group, Ozark Mountain Daredevils and bought their CDs. My special guest this weekend on Poetry from Daily Life is RANDLE CHOWNING, the founder of that famous group. Randle says he doesn’t apologize for being 100% “hillbilly”. He has been writing songs all his life and claims that he and with others have written songs that range from absurd to obscene or even prayer-like in nature.” I went to Randle because songs, too, can be poetry, and songs are part of our lives.

Randle will appear today in Springfield News-Leader and other papers in Missouri, Kansas, and North Dakota, and tomorrow will be in the News-Leader online edition.
