This morning’s interview on KSMU Public Radio

NOTE: Here’s the link to the interview: What does it mean to be poet laureate of Missouri? David Harrison tells us (ksmu.org)

Hi everyone,

For you early risers, I’m on KSMU public radio on the MSU campus this morning at 7:45. News Director MICHELE SKALICKY interviewed me about my post as Missouri Poet Laureate. SANDY went with me and sat in the recording booth. Next door to us was JOY ROBERTSON. I got a hug from her afterward. Hard to beat a morning like that!

You can find the interview at ksmu.org. At Michele’s invitation, I read my poem, “Missouri,” that I wrote as one expectation of each new state laureate. I read it aloud for the first time during the recent 150th anniversary celebration at Drury University.
