Hi everyone,
This morning it will be my privilege to visit two groups of 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade WINGS students at Phelps Center for Gifted Education in Springfield. In general, I’ll be talking about how I like to play with words. I’ll share a few poems, explain what a poet laureate does and, hopefully, listen to some of the kids read their own poems.

Thank you, GINA WYCKOFF, for inviting me and facilitating my visit. See you soon!
Sounds like a great day to me!!
Good morning, Su. I know you miss being with kids in the classroom. I have the advantage of having no direct responsibilities. As a visitor, I can pay a short visit, love on the kids for a while, and then leave.
What fun! I’m sure you’ll have a great day and so will those fortunate children!
