About my blog posts

Hi everyone,

I appreciate all the comments and suggestions as I considered what I might want to do about my blog posts. They all helped. I have decided to go from an almost daily post to a more flexible arrangement. If I have something I want to share with you five days in a row, I’ll post five straight days. Otherwise, I might skip some days. Now and then I might post later in the day if that’s when something comes up.

Word of the Month Poetry Challenge will remain unchanged. I’ll play a bit more with some of the posts. That helps me remember to not take myself too seriously. I’ll share more poems when something fits my mood or purpose. I’ll report on Goose Lake, of course. Through the end of my term as Missouri Poet Laureate, I’ll continue to introduce a columnist each week on Poetry from Daily Life. I will continue to feature an occasional guest. As always, I’ll remain open to unexpected opportunities to post something I think is interesting.

So that’s it for now. The main thing you’ll notice is that I won’t post every day. I’ll be working on new manuscripts, a seriously neglected area lately. Thank you all for helping me take a look at what I’ve been doing with my blog and how I might tweak it for everyone’s benefit. Onward and upward!
