Happy Easter David, your poem made me think of John Cage’s piece “Silence”. It’s a sweet little poem, but so profound. Hope the bunny was good to you! Best always, Mimi Reply
Thanks Mimi. It’s the last poem in Wild Country and one that is often quoted. The Easter Bunny I saw was walking down the street waving at people in cars. I don’t know who it was but my 5-year-old grandniece was thrilled. David Reply
This is so lovely, DAvid. I especially like the middle stanza. Sometimes words do just fine at bringing to life the joys of nature:>) Reply
Good morning, Laura, I’m glad you like the poem. You’re right. Sometimes words do just fine. At least that’s what we all hope. David Reply
