Hi everyone,
I’m delighted to feature another thought provoking and outright funny drawing by Rob Shepperson. We’ve played the “Caption that Cartoon” game a number of times and it always attracts a crowd of amused onlookers and a bunch of witty contributors.
Rob and I have collaborated on two books: BUGS, POEMS ABOUT CREEPING THINGS and VACATION, WE’RE GOING TO THE OCEAN. Rob’s credits span a wide range, including Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, New York Times Book Review, and Newsweek, not to mention his other book partnerships. The best way to learn more about Rob Shepperson is to visit his website at http://www.robshepperson.com .
Put on your thinking cap, sharpen your pencil, and caption this cartoon! Thanks Rob. I love this one too.

Oh no! Not another Lassie rerun!

Funny!
No more Animal Kingdom. It’s past your bedtime.
It was just a commercial, Jake. She’s not coming back.
No, I will not move. I want to watch “Too Cute Dogs”.

You win. Here’s the remote.
You got to watch tv all night, it’s my turn now.
Darn Alpo commercials.
I don’t care how it looks on TV, it doesn’t look that great when you see it for real.
It’s a scent-free TV. And no, I don’t have any Eau D’Kitty.
#! Move back, you’ll ruin your eyes
#2 Max, do you need glasses?
#3 The poodle isn’t that cute.
#4 I didn’t know Dog Shows had doggie fans.
#5 No, I won’t buy that brand of dog food.
Great job everyone. Keep them coming. I know we haven’t heard yet from some of our regulars.
These are all great…but we haven’t heard from any dogs.
Sorry, it’s still screen-free week!
And again, I hope you know that my line above is what is being said to the dog, not being said to you, David! (I thought about it later & decided I should explain.)
Thanks, Linda. No worries. I thought it was funny.
David
I’ll move when you give me the remote back !
If I move he’ll see the hole I chewed in the rug today.
The smell-o-vision option wasn’t cheap, but you do seem to enjoy the Westminster Dog Show more than ever.
I’m not moving till I see what happens to the cat.
I’m sorry that commercial makes you hungry, but you cannot eat in the den.
Why do they always cast younger dogs. That one’s just a pup!

My thanks to Rob Shepperson for providing such a great drawing (as always) and to each of you who have joined in the fun of making up captions for it. I hope you’ll visit Rob’s site and leave comments for him there. He’s a good sport to keep providing these gems so that we can exercise our wit.
